Heart Led Explorations

From Complexity to Connection
Untangling complex trauma with IFS
3 Day Workshop

Friday 28th - Sunday 30th November 2025

£695 - fully inclusive

Penny Brohn Centre, near Bristol
You are invited to join us, Jo Gibson and Sue Berry for this 3 day residential as we navigate the challenges of complex trauma through an IFS lens. Together we will explore how we might untangle these experiences to bring parts and systems back into connection with Self and with others.

Working with our own systems in large and small groups we will weave our way through a shared journey of discovery. Exploring a rich and varied program of embodied and experiential learning, creativity, discussion and play, supporting us to further open to and meet our clients with courage and confidence.
Hi, I am Sue and I am an IFS Certified Level 3 therapist, Approved Clinical Consultant and Supervisor who loves to assist on IFS trainings! I am also a Certified Sensorimotor Psychotherapist with 17 years experience and a deep understanding of complex trauma and fragmented parts.
I am a creative being and have a deep passion to share the IFS model, which I do by writing and illustrating children’s adventure stories that teach all about IFS, the body, mind and soul.
Balance and playfulness are both important to me and I create this by meditating, yoga, having fun outdoors and playing the cajon.
A little about about us

Sue Berry

Jo Gibson

Hello, I'm Jo, I am a Level 3 Certified IFS therapist and clinical supervisor, with 17 years experience of working with complex relational trauma and shame.
Post-grad qualified with a background of humanistic, relational, somatic, creative and energetic ways of working. I am moved to supporting bodies, minds and souls to return to a place of ease and safety.

I love to assist as a PA and do that often. I enjoy the connection to the community and appreciate the gifts and learnings from the shared journey.

I am deeply connected to the wider experience of self energy through my love of nature and animate energies.
I also love connecting with my own internal system through music, dance and visual art where I love to get messy with paint...

We both deeply value supporting and journeying with others as they meet their systems and find their own paths with IFS. We bring a playful and creative energy and are deeply connected to the emergent flow of life.

Who is the workshop for?
This workshop is for therapists and practitioners who have both an understanding of and a training in trauma. You will currently be working in this field and would like to build your confidence and expand your self energy in this context.
You will have completed Level 1 IFS training or above and would like to explore and learn from the inside out. You are interested in moving further towards attuned, deep listening and working with clients in experiential and embodied ways.
